Fault In Our Stars (contains spoilers)
I’m posting this with the tumblr app so I don’t think I can add a read more for spoilers. So if you haven’t read the books, STOP READING THIS POST.
Okay, so I finished FIOS a little while ago, but I’m just now getting around to blogging it. So. Good. I just want to talk about the end, though. I’ve always been comfortable crying in books and movies. I think it’s a good sign, means it meant something to me. But when Agustus died, it was different. I was crying and miserable and it was really hard. All I was thinking was “I don’t want to feel like this, I don’t want to feel like this.” And then it hit me…that’s the point. John Green is a fucking genius. No one who loses someone to cancer wants to feel like that. No one who loses anyone in general wants to feel like that. It isn’t the good kind of pain.
